I have been creating a website celebrating the art of Mary Kent Harrison RBA, NEAC, (1915-1983), who was my mother. Click on the image to the left (one of her paintings) to link to the Mary Kent Harrison website.
Click here to connect to the Art UK website which catalogues the UK's public Art collections and where a painting of mine called 'The Room' is published. I was highly commended for this painting at the 1979 Stowell's Trophy in London, and received a medal from Sir Hugh Casson. I was at Edinburgh College Of Art at the time.
I attended Edinburgh College of Art (1977 to 1981) in the Drawing And Painting School.
My mother, Mary Kent Harrison, RBA,NEAC was a British painter who exhibited throughout her life. In the family home easels were almost always set up and the air was often rich with the aroma of artists oil paint. Click here to visit a website about her work. My father was a surgeon.
In August 2017 the charity 'Chest Heart And Stroke Scotland' asked me to make available twelve images of my paintings with which to make cards to be included in their 'Scottish Artists" range. I am very pleased to be included. Some of the paintings have been cropped to square format to suit the design requirements for their cards. The cards are available to buy in many of their shops.
Starting from 26th November, 2020, I am donating £10.00 from each sale of paintings and prints to Shelter Scotland.

Here is one of the few surviving works from my Edinburgh Art College days. This painting was purchased from me at my graduate show.
